more about emma
A voice assistant for Mac that speaks Spanish and English
Emma lives on your Mac. You talk to her in Spanish, in English or both at once, and she does what you ask in your apps.
Spanish, English or both
You don't pick a language in the settings. Emma understands each sentence in the language you say it in, including one that starts in Spanish and ends in English.
She doesn't assume an accent or a region: her Spanish is neutral until you teach her your words.
What you can ask
These sentences are real: they are decisions her brain made, recorded as they were.
- "Text Ana that I'm running ten minutes late." She gets the message ready.
- "Did Luis email me?" She finds his latest email.
- "And put the appointment on Thursday at five." It goes on your calendar.
- "Open the PDF I downloaded yesterday." She finds it in Downloads and opens it.
How she decides
The word "Emma" is detected on the Mac. What you ask is decided by a local brain: it picks one of the tools your Mac can run, without sending your sentence to the cloud to decide. Before she sends or deletes anything, she asks and waits for your "yes".
When she arrives
Emma is coming to your Mac very soon. She needs macOS 14 or newer on an Apple Silicon Mac. Leave your email at the foot of this page and we'll tell you the day you can install her.
